			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This is a reminder that the Prevailing Wage Program published updated wage rates on February 1, 2012.  The new wage rates became effective today, on March 2, 2012.</p>
<p>We currently have more than one way to view or print prevailing wage rates.  At the following website you may view or print a report of the new journey level wage rates by county or by trade.</p>

<p>You may also look up or print prevailing wage rates for journey level or apprentice wages by visiting the following webpage.  To view the new wage rates please select an Effective Date on or after 3/2/2012.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Northwest Independent Contractor recently heard news they had received a grant from Labor and Industries Safety and Health Investments program to provide Disaster Site Worker Training around the State in 2012-2013.  The grant will feature updating safety training curriuclum and company plans for contractors, creating a Disaster Site Worker curriuculum that can be used in Washington State, and providing training for 150 individuals interested in getting the OSHA 10, First Aid, and OSHA 7600.  Classes will be posted on our class calendar page.  Look forward to seeing you there!</p>
